Advantage Capital Partners Promotes Team Members
NEW ORLEANS, March 25th, 2011 – Advantage Capital Partners, a leading venture capital and small business finance firm, is pleased to announce the internal promotion of several key staff members in New Orleans, St. Louis and New York.
New Orleans promotions:
Justin Obletz has been promoted to Senior Vice President. Mr. Obletz joined the Advantage Capital in 2006. His responsibilities include deal flow screening, due diligence, and portfolio monitoring. He received his M.B.A. from the Darden School at the University of Virginia and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.
S. Talmadge Singer was named Vice President. Mr. Singer joined Advantage Capital in 2007 and provides assistance with the firm’s capital raising transactions, national expansion efforts, and regulatory issues. Mr. Singer graduated from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University and earned his B.A. degree in English from Louisiana State University.
St. Louis promotions:
Adam Suberi, promoted to Vice President, has been a member of the Advantage Capital investment group since 2008 and is responsible for analyzing investments and portfolio companies in St. Louis and throughout Missouri. Mr. Suberi earned an M.B.A. from the John M. Olin School of Business at Washington University in St. Louis and a B.A. in Economics from Northwestern University.
Omar Khan has been promoted to Tax Manager. Mr. Khan joined Advantage Capital in 2005 and is responsible for the tax-efficient structuring of portfolio investments as well as consultation with portfolio companies regarding tax reporting issues. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University, earned his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his LL.M. in Taxation from the School of Law at Washington University in St. Louis.
Dan Drury, also promoted to Tax Manager, joined Advantage Capital in 2009. Mr. Drury is responsible for internal tax structuring and compliance, as well as tax matters of the investment funds and underlying investors. He received both his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and master’s degree in Accountancy from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
New York promotions:
Newly named Senior Vice President Reid Hutchins manages Advantage Capital’s New York investment portfolio. Since joining the firm in 2006, Mr. Hutchins’ responsibilities have included sourcing and structuring new investments, as well as working with current portfolio companies. He holds a master’s degree in engineering from Dartmouth College as well as a bachelor’s degree in physics from St. Lawrence University.
